By accessing or using Cortex ("the Service"), operated by Cortex Content Intelligence ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Cortex is an AI-powered content infrastructure platform that helps businesses create, optimize, and distribute content for citation authority in AI search engines. The Service includes content generation, research tools, scheduling, analytics, and related features.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others

- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts

5. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service. By using Cortex, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
Content generated by the Service's AI tools is owned by you upon creation. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before publication.
6. Subscription and Billing
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
- Provide valid payment information
- Accept automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date

7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cortex Content Intelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before use.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cortex Content Intelligence from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make your data available for export for 30 days following termination.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
